Western Port Writes (WPW) is a biennial literary festival based in the Western Port region of the Mornington Peninsula, held in Somers and surrounds. Designed to celebrate creativity and the art of the story, it showcases established and emerging writers connected to our region and beyond. The Western Port Writes Literary Festival returns in 2026.

As part of the Somers Open Gardens Day, hear much-loved chef and Kitchen Garden Program founder, Stephanie Alexander, in conversation with Jaclyn Crupi at Coolart Observatory on Sunday 9 November. Tickets available soon.

Somers Open Gardens Day

Don’t miss this day of garden beauty. Visit five superb gardens in Somers. Then come along to the Coolart Community Garden at Coolart Wetlands and Homestead. Hear fabulous singer Anna Smyrk live in the gardens from 12.30pm. Food van onsite or bring a picnic. Tickets on sale soon.
